Retail : Entering Sales Figures and Calculating Overages : Calculating Overages

Calculating Overages
To calculate overages
1
From the side menu, select Lease Administration > Retail Functions > Calculate Overage. The Commercial Overage Functions screen appears.
2
Property ID Type or select a property code.
Lease ID Type or select a lease code (if you want to limit the overage calculation to a single lease).
To Month Type the end month. Voyager calculates the overages for the period in which the To Month lies (the period is based on the breakpoint frequency).
From Month This field is optional. If you enter a From Month, Voyager calculates the overages from the period of the From Month to the period of the To Month.
Function Type Select either Overage Calculation or Overage Calculation - Audited.
The Overage Calculation - Audited option uses only the audited sales figures for the calculation. The Overage Calculation option uses the “best” figure: audited (if available), actual (if there is no audited figures), or estimated (if there are no audited or actual figures).
You can run Overage Calculation more than once (for a tenant/month combination) as figures become available. For example, you could run it when you have an estimated sales total. Then, when the actual figure is available, you could run it again. Voyager will create a charge for the difference between the two results.
3
Click Calculate (if this is the first time for this lease or property and the time period).
